Senior Data Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering to join our team in Düsseldorf. You will be developing an integration layer for product, location, and supplier data.

Responsibilities

• Take shared ownership in the development of the technical integration across Syndigo, legacy, and downstream interfaces.
• Ensure data quality and mapping consistency between inbound source files and outbound update messages.
• Support production stability through monitoring, alerting, and dead-letter queue handling.
• Build a maintainable and scalable solution that supports both initial load and ongoing update flows.

Requirements

• Must have

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • AWS (DynamoDB, lambdas, SQS, EC, Fargate)
  • CI/CD (Bitbucket, Jenkins)
  • Python
  • Confluent Kafka
  • Solid understanding of data flows, interfaces, mappings, and production support considerations
  • Experience with data governance and master data management (Syndigo) is a strong advantage
