About the Position
We are seeking a self-driven, seasoned Senior Data Engineer capable of working independently when required. You will represent the Data Engineering chapter within a full-stack, high-performing squad, bringing a diligent "can-do" attitude focused on the collective achievement of the Scrum team in delivering high-quality products iteratively to support the investments business. Familiarity with investment financial data for application integration to the trading platform and reporting is highly preferred, as is previous experience on Agile Scrum teams within a scaled framework.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to define and analyze user stories managed in Jira
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for Tech with a modern technology stack
- Present solutions and communicate business value to business partners during sprint showcases
- Participate actively in configuration to support Data Integration
- Provide high-quality products iteratively to enable the investments business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
- Proficiency in SQL (programming views, stored procedures, and functions)
- Advanced skills in Snowflake and an intermediate grasp of DWH
- Extensive experience with AWS
- Intermediate experience with Python (ETL tools - Pandas/NumPy, Python unit testing)
- Knowledge of AI Dev Tools (GitHub Copilot/Actions)
- Capability in CI/CD using BitBucket/GitHub and building/maintaining a CI/CD pipeline with Bamboo
- Abilities in business intelligence tools, reporting solutions, and API Development
- Knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI)
- English proficiency at B2 level or above
Nice to Have
- Experience with Financial Systems and reporting (Investments accounting/General Ledger)
- Skill in integrating large-scale financial investment/ERP systems (Investment Management Warehouse, or comparable platform)
- Demonstrated delivery of data solutions through agile methodologies using AWS resources (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda), Snowflake, Snaplogic, REST APIs, and Orchestration tools
- Experience with Agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives)
