Senior Data Engineer

About the Position

Responsibilities

• Build and support data pipelines that ingest data from external systems
• Work with both full data loads and regular incremental updates
• Develop and maintain integrations using Java
• Help design and maintain a unified internal data model
• Ensure data quality and handle incorrect or incomplete data
• Use AI-assisted tools and approaches to improve data quality, detect issues, and support operations when appropriate
• Ensure data pipelines are reliable, well-monitored, and production-ready
• Work closely with engineering and product teams on integration and data needs

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong production experience with Java
• Experience with at least one data processing framework, such as Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or Apache Flink
• Experience integrating external systems via REST APIs, including pagination, rate limiting, and token-based authentication
• Strong data modelling skills and experience working with structured, relational data
• Solid SQL knowledge
• GCP Dataflow experience
• Experience operating data pipelines in production environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
• English level – Upper Intermediate

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architectures or messaging systems
• Experience designing canonical schemas across multiple data sources
• Experience with LLM
