Senior Data Engineer

About the Position

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Zurich, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will contribute to EPAM’s Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH) – a strategic Azure-based platform enabling reporting, analytics, and invoicing capabilities for both internal and external users. You will take end-to-end ownership of data integration, data modelling, reporting, and invoicing solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into scalable, sustainable technical implementations. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud and streaming technologies while driving data excellence and value creation across EPAM’s digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of reporting, analytics, and invoicing capabilities within the Reporting Analytics Hub (RAH)
• Design and implement scalable enterprise data models for reporting and invoicing use cases
• Develop and maintain Azure-based data solutions using PySpark and cloud-native services
• Integrate and process data delivered through sFTP, Kafka, and streaming technologies
• Enable invoicing processes by providing invoicing volumes and interfaces towards SAP
• Deliver reporting and analytics solutions for internal and external users through Power BI
• Collaborate closely with Requirements Engineers and business stakeholders to refine and implement evolving business requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer in enterprise-scale environments
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Platform and PySpark development
• Solid experience with data modelling and scalable reporting architectures
• Experience with streaming and event-driven data processing (e.g., Kafka)
• Strong understanding of invoicing/billing processes and related data structures
• Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics solutions
• Ability to assume ownership and drive delivery across the full solution lifecycle
• Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written
