Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implementing ETL pipelines and maintaining data pipeline performance and optimization;
• Architecting and designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-bias Data and Analytics solutions;
• Providing technical expertise and advisory services to customers, conducting workshops and presentations;
• Leading internal technical teams, including code review and team coaching;

Requirements

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes;
  • 3+ years experience with Azure Cloud technologies;
  • Proficient experience in distributed computing principles and familiarity with key architectures;
  • Broad experience across a set of data stores (Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory);
  • Understanding of landing, staging area, data cleansing, data profiling, data security, and data architecture concepts;
  • Strong SQL, Python, and Spark skills;
  • Technical recommendations, problem-solving, and risk management;
  • Proof of concept design and technical demonstration.

• Non-Technical Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members at all levels;
  • English proficiency at B2 or higher (including presentation skills in English);
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment with tools such as JIRA;

Nice to Have

• Experience in SQL migration from on-premises to cloud;
• Data modernization and migration experience;
• Advanced analytics projects experience;
• Professional certification in data & analytics;
