The Polish branch, as the Global Delivery Center, operates in Katowice since 2007 and has been growing ever since. Currently, our team consists of around 1,000 specialists.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (AI) to join Sopra Steria Polska team for a client in the automotive sector. You will work in an industrial, stable environment in a multinational team (Germany, Poland) for a major automotive manufacturer.

Note that we can only offer cooperation to people who are located in Poland and are willing to commute to our office in Katowice or Gdańsk, Poland.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a team of developers and data engineers.
• Majority of tasks will correspond to data engineering and data infrastructure.
• Tasks range from creation of a workflow along with its jobs, through maintenance and debugging of several pipelines and other data infrastructure parts, migration to or update of AWS services, to regression testing or automation of repetitive activities.
• Work both alone and in cooperation with other data engineers.
• Be responsible for what you code/develop/automate.
• Review code of other colleagues in an IaC environment.

Requirements

• Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and ability to write complex queries
  • Basic knowledge of data related AWS Services like: S3, Glue, Athena
  • Good communication skills and a team player
  • Experience with Agile ways of working
  • English B2/C1
  • Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice or Gdańsk
  • EU Citizenship

Salary Range

• UoP: 12,000-16,000 PLN gross/month.
• B2B: 100-140 PLN net/h

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this position consists of three stages:

1. A short phone call with a recruiter (30 min max)
2. One-hour long interview on Teams (with both general and technical questions)
