Senior Data Engineer– Hybrid (Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage data infrastructure and pipelines
• Write complex SQL queries and perform advanced analysis on large datasets
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, Scala, Java, or other data processing languages
• Ensure data integrity and quality across various databases (BigQuery, BigTable)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions
• Implement and manage cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development
• Work in an agile development environment with iterative delivery and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Hard Skills
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years as a Data Engineer
  • Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases (BigQuery) and some experience with non-relational databases (BigTable)
  • Proven ability to write complex SQL queries and perform advanced analysis on large datasets
  • Strong programming experience in Python, Scala, Java, or other data processing languages
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) and data infrastructure
  • Advanced understanding of data warehouse concepts and best practices
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Experience working in agile development with iterative delivery and continuous improvement
