About the Position
Senior Data Engineer IRC298727
Function: Software Product Engineering
Location: Romania
Work Model: Remote, Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop and maintain data models, warehouses, and lakes for analytics, reporting, and machine learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to solve complex problems.
- Build strong data governance and quality frameworks.
- Drive improvements in automation, monitoring, performance, and scalability.
- Contribute to long-term architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay curious and explore new tools, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in data engineering or a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong experience with SQL, Python, and cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, pipelines, and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, or similar).
- Familiarity with modern data ecosystems (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices.
- A proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for data and its role in driving better decisions.
