(Senior) Data Engineer (m/w/d)

About the Position

Ströer Media Solutions is seeking a (Senior) Data Engineer (m/w/d) for our Frankfurt am Main location. Specializing in scalable data platforms with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Services, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate scalable data platforms using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Services
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data models, and integrations for reliable data products
• Establish data quality checks, monitoring, and automated tests to ensure data quality and platform stability
• Shape CI/CD and deployment processes with Git, Infrastructure as Code, and automated workflows
• Support the Lead Data Platform in architecture decisions, technical concepts, and platform evolution
• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics engineers, and various departments, sharing your expertise and transforming technical possibilities into scalable data and AI solutions

Requirements

• Several years of experience in building and operating modern data platforms in cloud and data platform environments
• Proficiency in Python and SQL as well as in ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, data modeling, and data integration
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and automated build, test, and deployment processes
• Knowledge of methods for ensuring data quality, monitoring data pipelines, and analyzing technical errors
• Ability to independently develop technical architectures and solution approaches, evaluate requirements, and prepare well-founded technical decisions
• Experience in technical coordination with data scientists, analytics engineers, platform teams, or departments and the ability to convey complex matters understandably
