Responsibilities

As part of our "Data Integration & Solution Engineering" team, you will be responsible for data modeling, big-data architectures, and cloud infrastructures.
Design, further development, and performance of data platforms are your forte.
Shaping the architecture, building pipelines, and the integration and deployment of data-driven solutions.
Establishing modern engineering standards (e.g., CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization).
Close collaboration with clients and cross-functional project teams: translating requirements and business processes into technical solutions, conducting workshops, and mentoring juniors.

In the consulting environment, the answer is often "it depends," as the exact technology stack depends on the specific project and client. We do not think in a fixed set of methods and technology stacks but first look for the best solution for a problem. Across all projects, we use modern technologies, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Python, git, SQL, Spark, Beam, Snowflake, dbt, CI/CD tools, Docker, and IaC (Terraform).

Several years of experience in data engineering, ideally in a consulting environment, and very good knowledge of Python.
Solid experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and practical experience with big-data frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Beam.
Knowledge of software engineering methods (CI/CD, TDD, agile development), containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
The ability to explain complex topics in German and English in a way that is understandable and comprehensible for everyone.
Analytical mindset, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.
