Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake & AWS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data team working on scalable cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics solutions. This role combines hands-on data engineering, production support, cloud infrastructure, and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Beyond strong technical expertise, we’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team while also being comfortable working independently. The ideal candidate is proactive, takes ownership, and is naturally curious - someone who enjoys learning, improving systems, and staying engaged with their work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models in Snowflake
• Ensure data reliability, quality, and performance across multiple workflows
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize performance
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, BI Developers, and other stakeholders to support business needs
• Take ownership of deployment and operation of data pipelines, including CI/CD processes and releases
• Maintain stability and performance of production data workflows
• Contribute to automation, monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for data platforms
• Support environment management and ensure smooth production operations
• Participate in improving engineering standards and development practices

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Commercial experience in Data Engineering and building data warehouses/pipelines
• Strong practical experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes
• Good understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment workflows
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices
• Familiarity with infrastructure and cloud tooling such as Terraform or Docker
• Experience supporting production-grade data environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Pharma domain
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
