About the Position
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Talend and Oracle PL/SQL to design and implement scalable data solutions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will demonstrate technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring compliance and innovation in data engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data store solutions for business needs
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Talend, leveraging CI/CD tools
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL queries and procedures
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms
- Monitor and resolve data workflow and performance issues
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Prepare and maintain documentation for technical designs and data flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals
Requirements
- Proven experience in Talend ETL development
- Strong background in Oracle PL/SQL development and performance tuning
- Demonstrated ability in data modeling, integration, and governance
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Confidence working with UNIX shell scripting and job scheduling
- Experience operating in Agile or distributed delivery environments
- Ability to manage end-to-end technical deliverables
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Exposure to financial services domain
- Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database
- Familiarity with risk management practices
