Senior Data Engineer - Tieto Caretech (m/f/d)

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our Lakehouse Analytics platform in Oulu, Finland. Develop data-driven solutions with big data technologies.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a key role in developing and designing data-driven services and solutions for our Lakehouse Analytics platform. You will be working in diverse teams consisting of top-level developers and customer’s experts.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in software development, with strong programming skills in Python, SQL or other relevant languages
• Hands-on experience developing data-driven solutions and working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure Synapse or Apache Spark
• Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably within Azure
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation and developing high-quality products that solve complex customer problems
• Confidence and willingness to take responsibility, combined with honesty, openness and a collaborative team mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

Nice to Have

• Experience in Social care and healthcare data
• Experience with Data warehouse, Data lakes or lakehouse
• Knowledge in Dimensional data modeling, star schemas and data marts
• Development of Power BI

AI Knowledge Requirement

AI literacy is expected - able to use approved AI tools effectively and responsibly, write clear prompts, and validate outputs. You understand how to follow company policies and applicable requirements for confidentiality, privacy, security, and responsible AI use (including not entering sensitive data into unapproved tools).
