Senior Data Scientist

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data
• Selecting the proper machine learning method for a given problem
• Selecting features, building, and optimizing classifiers and regression models using machine learning techniques
• Creating and using anomaly detection systems
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Extending data collection procedures
• Doing ad-hoc data analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
• Constant tracking of the performance of designed models

Requirements

• Very good understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Networks, etc.
• Experience with Python-based data science toolkits (numpy, pandas, scipy, TensorFlow, etc.)
• Optionally experience in R/Matlab, with the possibility to switch to Python-based tools
• Experience with data visualization tools – best option are Python-based tools (e.g., matplotlib)
• Good applied statistics skills, such as analysis of distributions, statistical testing, regression, time series decomposition, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of SQL (MsSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, is an advantage
• Good scripting and programming skills are an advantage
• Experience in ML techniques for industry is an advantage
