About the Position

Senior Data Software Engineer - IRC302281

We're seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Data Solutions and Products team in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will be part of a Cloud Platform and Data team aiming to build and operate a strategic B2B API platform to monetize vehicle and connected car data externally. The platform will support secure data sharing with various external data aggregators and fleet customers and 3rd party partners such as insurance and charging companies directly to monetize the data value as well as enhance the market competitiveness of Geely Auto brands in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, microservices, and APIs for the external B2B service platform.
  • Build platform capabilities for authentication, authorization, tenant access, vehicle management, subscription management, entitlement, metering, billing support, and monitoring in AWS environment.
  • Design and implement secure OAuth 2.0 / OIDC and system-to-system integration patterns.
  • Develop REST APIs and integration services for external customers and partners.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, tracing, and service health checks.
  • Troubleshoot issues in APIs, microservices, deployments, and integrations across environments.
  • Contribute to solution design, including API contracts, service boundaries, integration patterns, and deployment considerations.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to expose data products from the Databricks + AWS platform as secure external services.
  • Work with product owner, architect, and engineers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support integrations with external partner platforms and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and potentially Alicloud.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment workflows, and release verification.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code based deployment and environment management.
  • Ensure software quality through unit, integration, API, and regression testing.
  • Support external partner onboarding with technical integration guidance and secure access setup.
  • Document APIs, service designs, workflows, and technical decisions to ensure maintainability and collaboration.
  • Take ownership of assigned technical areas from design to deployment and operational follow-up.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering.
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience building backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
  • Good understanding of solution design, distributed systems, and API architecture.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization, especially OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, software testing, and release practices.
  • Strong hands-on experience with backend-oriented languages: Java, Python, TypeScript / Node.js.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native service development.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
  • Experience with Databricks, data platforms, or data product environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure, Alicloud, and cross-cloud integration is a plus.
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, or connected vehicle domains is an advantage.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and production support is beneficial.
