About the Position

Senior Databricks Architect (m/w/d)

Dataciders, a leading service provider in the IT sector with a focus on Data and AI in the German-speaking region, is seeking a Senior Databricks Architect to shape modern data, analytics, and AI platforms. You will be responsible for demanding Databricks projects and will support clients in building scalable Lakehouse architectures and future-proof data platforms. You will combine technological excellence with consulting expertise and actively shape the data strategies of renowned companies.

Responsibilities

• Design target architectures for modern data and Lakehouse platforms based on Databricks and cloud technologies.
• Advise clients on strategic architecture decisions and the modernization of their data landscapes.
• Conduct architecture workshops, assessments, and technical reviews.
• Manage technical standards, governance approaches, and best practices for modern data platforms.
• Steer transformation projects from strategic conception to successful implementation.
• Support presales activities and the further development of our Databricks portfolio.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data, analytics, or cloud environments.
• Extensive experience with Databricks and modern data and analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures, data engineering, and Azure or similar cloud technologies.
• Experience in consulting and technical leadership of client projects.
• Strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a confident demeanor.
• Enjoy working at the interface between business units, IT, and management.
• Fluent in German at C1 level or native level.
