About the Position

We are seeking a Senior DBA Engineer (MySQL, AWS) to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine, with the option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute a phased migration of a large MySQL database available in multiple zones
Design and maintain MySQL databases across multiple zones
Prepare cutover procedures for database migration
Execute disaster recovery planning and execution
Perform performance tuning and query optimization of MySQL databases
Configure replication, backups, and high availability
Manage MySQL deployments on Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora
Monitor and troubleshoot database health and capacity

Proficiency in MySQL with proven experience in planning and executing databases
Expertise in Amazon Web Services including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon EC2
Skills in MySQL replication, backup and recovery, and high availability
Competency in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing
Background in preparing cutover and disaster recovery
Familiarity with AWS networking, IAM, and CloudWatch
English level B2+

Work on a flexible schedule remotely or from any of our comfortable offices or coworking spaces in Ukraine
