About the Position

Odd Systems is a defense technology company specializing in the development and production of thermal and day cameras for drones and robotic systems. Founded by a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, managers, and FPV enthusiasts with previous experience in several international technology companies, including Petcube, a global leader in pet cameras and software.

Our products, the Kurbas thermal cameras and Svitlych day cameras, are named after prominent figures of the "Executed Renaissance" and the "Sixtiers" - Ukrainian intellectuals of the 20th century persecuted and destroyed by the Soviet regime. Odd Systems has offices in Ukraine, the USA, and the EU.

Role Mission: Our product portfolio and R&D team are growing rapidly - from thermal platforms Kurbas to day cameras and gimbals. Your task is to become the owner of the delivery process: build a planning and reporting system from scratch, coordinate the rhythm between Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Support, and Production, keep projects on schedule, and make a complex system manageable. This is the first role of this level in the company with the prospect of growing into the owner of the delivery direction.

Main Tasks

• Jira Structure: Designing and maintaining the Jira structure to meet team needs - boards, workflows, standardization, setting up workspaces for engineering and product teams.
• Delivery Rhythm: Implementing and facilitating a monthly cycle - roadmap verification, period planning, analyzing "plan vs fact" at the end, and reflection for continuous improvement.
• Delivery as KPI: Building and tracking metrics (Plan vs Fact, throughput, lead time), regular reporting to stakeholders and management.
• Priorities and Blockers: Aligning priorities and deadlines between Product, R&D, Supply Chain, Support, and Production; proactively resolving blockers - including control of external dependencies (supply of samples, components, lenses, etc.).
• Releases and Dependencies: Coordinating dependencies between teams in a matrix structure, linking product and technical tasks to unified versions and releases.
• Scaling the Process: Formalizing and describing the process, training teams to work in a single rhythm, incremental improvement of regulations month by month.

Experience and Skills We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as a Delivery Manager / Program Manager / Project Manager in R&D, product, or technology teams - with real ownership of the delivery process, not just task execution.
• Experience in building processes from scratch: someone who comes into an environment without a ready-made structure and builds it independently, rather than accepting an already configured process.
• Practical knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban as planning tools (not just terminology), with an understanding of how to adapt them to the specifics of hardware, where incremental value delivery is limited.
• Experience in building or implementing delivery metrics (Plan vs Fact, throughput, lead time) and reporting for management.
• Confident proficiency in Jira at the level of designing a structure for the team (boards, workflows) - without the need for deep administration or complex scripts.
• Strong soft skills for working with engineers: the ability to lead teams without pressure, understand the full technical context of tasks, and not manage "by tasks".
• Openness to feedback and result-oriented - the main goal of the role is to deliver on time and help teams remove blockers.
• Systems thinking: understanding the relationships between the portfolio, roadmap, sprints, and tasks.

• Experience working with hardware teams (DefTech, defense, embedded, electronics, cameras, drones, robotics) - for quick understanding of the subject and specifics of processes.
• Technical background (engineering / embedded / electronics).
• Experience in coordinating external dependencies and working with Supply Chain in the context of developing hardware products.
• English at the Intermediate+ level.
