Senior Designer

About the Position

New Apology is looking for a Senior Designer to lead ambitious brand and digital work from first idea through launch. We work across strategy, identity, websites, campaigns, packaging, and whatever else the project needs.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role. You will work on multiple projects at once, build on each other’s ideas, and share ownership of the outcome. You should be comfortable setting direction, prototyping quickly, and helping a strong idea become much better.

Responsibilities

• Lead brand and digital projects from concept through production.
• Turn creative direction into complete systems.
• Work fluidly in identity, web design, concepting.
• Work openly in shared files and build on the ideas of others.
• Prototype ideas quickly using design, motion, and AI.
• Lead reviews, give useful feedback, and improve the work of the team.
• Present to clients and explain decisions clearly.
• Work closely with strategists, writers, developers, and outside collaborators.
• Stay involved until the final work is as compelling as the original idea.

Requirements

• A portfolio of exceptional brand and digital work.
• 5+ years at a studio, agency, or equivalent experience on large, collaborative projects.
• Strong command of typography and systems.
• Experience leading substantial projects from beginning to end.
• The ability to contribute a point of view without becoming territorial.
• High standards, low ego, and strong follow-through.
• Motion design experience is a bonus.
