Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Position

We are recruiting a Senior DevOps Engineer for a remote role with our client, an exciting U.S.-based blockchain technology fintech.

Our customer aims to develop a decentralized infrastructure through blockchain technology that enables institutional participants to reliably allocate assets on-chain and transfer value in a fully transparent, open-source, composable manner.

Our customer’s founding team has years of experience in stablecoin and crypto governance design as well as traditional securitization services. The company has been backed by some of the largest and most sophisticated investors in technology, including Pantera Capital, Road Capital, AirTree, Standard Crypto, The SALT Fund, ParaFi Capital, Distributed Capital, Kraynos Capital, Mouro Capital, and Earlybird.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve our CI/CD setup, ensure infrastructure availability, and system resilience
• Develop and maintain automated processes for cloud applications and for on-premise infrastructures
• Collaborate closely with department leads and colleagues, advising engineers from frontend, backend, and data departments to help them build better products
• Design and develop automated tests to ensure a flawless operation of our build and deploy platform
• Secure, monitor, deploy, run, and manage parts of our platform in different environments
• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure components
• Contribute to the user experience through dashboards, APIs, and command-line tools
• Write comprehensive documentation for tooling and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience in working with cloud networking and infrastructures at Amazon AWS
• Solid experience with on-premise networking and infrastructure
• Solid experience in building application containers using Docker and Helm packaging
• Solid experience in managing distributed applications using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Experience writing own and extending community-maintained Terraform modules
• Experience in working on cloud-based network architectures using services such as private endpoints
• Experience in automation frameworks like Ansible
• Experience administering PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB
• Strong understanding of Linux shell and open-source software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to share knowledge with team members and other departments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
