Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices. The role involves working closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable, secure, and observable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Manage and optimize source code repositories (Git), including branching and merge strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, etc.).
• Configure and maintain build and dependency management using Maven (or similar tools).
• Integrate and manage code quality and security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, SAST/DAST) as part of DevSecOps.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Groovy, and Python for build, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Implement and support observability solutions using Prometheus, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with release management teams to plan, coordinate, and execute application releases across environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in build, deployment, and production environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of release processes, toolchains, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

Must have

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Git and repository/branching strategies.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • GitLab CI
  • GitHub Actions
  • or similar tools
• Proficiency with Maven or equivalent build tools.
• Experience integrating and maintaining SonarQube or similar code quality tools.
• Practical experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security checks into pipelines.
• Solid experience with:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, configuration, troubleshooting)
• Knowledge of container security, image scanning, and Kubernetes security best practices.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell and at least one of:
  • Groovy
  • Python
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools:
  • Prometheus (metrics)
  • ELK Stack (logs)
  • OpenTelemetry (traces, metrics, logs instrumentation)
• Experience with release management processes, including:
  • Versioning
  • Change management
  • Deployment coordination
• Good understanding of Linux-based environments and networking fundamentals relevant to application deployment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
• Experience working with cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of container security, image scanning, and Kubernetes security best practices.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional DevOps teams.
