About the Position
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and observability to join our team in Bengaluru, India. The role involves working closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to ensure reliable, secure, and observable software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools and best practices.
- Manage and optimize source code repositories (Git), including branching and merge strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based, etc.).
- Configure and maintain build and dependency management using Maven (or similar tools).
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Groovy, and Python for build, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Implement and support observability solutions using Prometheus, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with release management teams to plan, coordinate, and execute application releases across environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in build, deployment, and production environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of release processes, toolchains, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
Must have
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Currently working with infra migration projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Git and repository/branching strategies.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as: Azure, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Maven or equivalent build tools.
- Experience integrating and maintaining SonarQube or similar code quality tools.
- Practical experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security checks into pipelines.
- Solid experience with: Helm, Docker, Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, configuration, troubleshooting), On-Prem and some cloud.
- Knowledge of container security, image scanning, and Kubernetes security best practices.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell and at least one of: Groovy, Python.
- Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools: Prometheus (metrics), ELK Stack (logs).
- Experience with release management processes, including: Versioning, Change management, Deployment coordination.
- Good understanding of Linux-based environments and networking fundamentals relevant to application deployment.
- Platform Engineering: Application security, Understanding of microservices architecture, Scalable and highly available (HA) system design, Governance standards.
Nice to have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as: Terraform, Ansible.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional DevOps teams.
