Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Kubernetes, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines to join our team in Remote Romania.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our client's internal software deployment tooling, based on the APIF framework and executed through the VCPCTL tool.
• Define and maintain feature and package manifests that describe how software artefacts should be deployed and configured.
• Use VCPCTL to automate packaging workflows, including fetching artefacts, validating manifests, and creating deployable packages.
• Support application teams in adopting APIF by helping them structure their artefacts and define dependencies and configuration parameters.
• Improve the reliability of the deployment process by analyzing issues in the field, designing both quick fixes and long-term improvements, and ensuring that deployment logic is robust and maintainable.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Linux - min. 5 years
• Certifications such as CKA/RHCA required
• Very good Python programming - min. 5 years
• Good Knowledge of Ansible playbooks - min. 3 years
• CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) to test and validate - min. 5 years
• Spark for data processing, Kafka for notifications and high volume data
• Hadoop and HBASE
• K8S API's and tooling

• Ready to face customer, gather, clarify and discuss requirements.
• Strong debugging and analytic skills
