About the Position

Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Join gravity9, a boutique IT consulting company with offices worldwide, as a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure). We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic DevOps engineer with a keen interest in current technology. Using your experience of DevOps and engineering best practices, you will be involved in the design and implementation of secure and scalable applications that are transforming industries.

Responsibilities

Design and implement secure and scalable applications
Collaborate with colleagues to identify, prioritize, and deliver features
Work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex changes
Build independent web-based tools, microservices, and solutions
Configure complex CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure DevOps
Manage source control using GIT
Work with Kubernetes and AKS
Proficient in Terraform and scripting using Bash, PowerShell, and Helm
Good understanding of IT operations management
Familiarity with agile working and test-driven development
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English

Requirements

Technical Skills and Experience

At least 5 years of experience working with Azure
Experience building independent web-based tools, microservices, and solutions
Proficient in Terraform and writing scripts and automation using Bash, PowerShell, and Helm
Experience working with Azure
Configuration of complex CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure DevOps
Experience working with Kubernetes and AKS
Management of source control GIT
Good understanding of how IT operations are managed
Development methodologies: familiarity with agile working and test-driven development. Use of JIRA
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of and proficiency in spoken and written English (working directly with UK/US-based clients)
Education: An excellent result in computer science or another STEM subject is recommended, either at the MSc or BSc level, but alternative education pathways will be considered
