Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Position

Softengi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for the project of the leading Ukrainian telecommunications company!

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
• Manage containerization with Docker, Docker Compose, Portainer, and orchestration with Kubernetes and Rancher.
• Handle cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and virtualization platforms such as VMware.
• Work with OS RedHat Linux (CentOS/Fedora/Oracle Linux).
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Create automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
• Monitor and manage systems with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Kafka/Zookeeper.
• Collaborate with development teams using source control systems and tools like Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Ensure smooth operations with Maven, Gradle, JMeter, Mock-Server.
• Manage databases such as MariaDB, Oracle, Cassandra DB, Redis.
• Understand networking fundamentals, REST APIs, HTTP, TCP, LDAP, SMPP, and client-server communication principles.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborate closely with development teams.
• Communicate proficiently in English (spoken and written).

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborate closely with development teams.
• Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in software development (2+ years).
• Knowledge of Java (Core, Java 8/17).
• Experience with Postman and API testing.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Experience working with support and incident management systems.
• Higher technical education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
