About the Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with over 25 years of experience in Linux/Unix, Enterprise Infrastructure, and Automation to join our team in Vöhl, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable DevOps practices.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, AWS, and OpenStack.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, and Forgejo.
• Ensure observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios.
• Manage security and identity with Authentik, OIDC, and Azure Active Directory.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers and engineers.

Requirements

• Mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung mit Linux/Unix, Enterprise-Infrastruktur und Automatisierung.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and practices.
• Strong knowledge in Cloud technologies: Microsoft Azure, AWS, OpenStack.
• Experience with Container & Platform technologies: Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Expertise in CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, Bamboo, Forgejo.
• Knowledge in Security & IAM: Authentik, OIDC, PingFederate, SAML, LDAP.
• Experience with Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios.
• Proficiency in Scripting & Integration: Python, Bash, YAML, REST, MQTT, Kafka.
• Strong understanding of Betriebssysteme & Virtualisierung: Linux, RHEL, Unix, Solaris, Windows.
• Experience with Datenbanken & Storage: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Oracle, NFS, S3.
• Knowledge in Security & Compliance: BSI-Grundschutz, Common Criteria, Application Security.
• Familiarity with IT-Service-Management: ITIL, Release- und Change-Management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI & Automatisierung: KI-gestützte DevOps-Workflows, Qdrant.
• Skills in Plattformarchitektur: Konzeption und Aufbau interner Entwicklungs- und Betriebsplattformen.
• Experience in Cloud-Migration: Migration von On-Premise-Anwendungen nach Azure.
• Knowledge in Containerbetrieb: Kubernetes-/OpenShift-Plattformen, Helm-Charts, Container-Images.
• Experience in Observability: Integration von Metriken, Logging und Alerting.
• Skills in Identity und Zugriff: SSO- und Authentifizierungsintegration.
• Experience in Netzwerk und Infrastruktur: Reverse Proxies, SSL/TLS, Firewall-Technologien.
• Skills in Schnittstellen und Datenintegration: REST- und MCP-Integrationen, MQTT, Kafka-Anbindung.
• Familiarity with Methoden und Prozesse: ITIL, Kanban, CMMI, V-Modell XT.
