About the Position

ICT Group, an experienced provider of industrial technology solutions, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Techlead Linux & Virtual Workspace to join our team in Eindhoven. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing Linux (RHEL) workstations and virtual workspaces (VDI). You will automate the provisioning process of VDI and workstations, manage golden images, monitor capacity and performance, and improve secure remote access, among other tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize Linux (RHEL) workstations and virtual workspaces (VDI)
• Automate the provisioning process of VDI and workstations
• Manage golden images, including DLP and policies
• Monitor capacity and performance of the VDI environment (VMware, Citrix)
• Set up and improve monitoring, observability, and log analysis (Splunk, Grafana)
• Improve secure remote access, resolve vulnerabilities, and manage patch management (Zscaler)
• Solve complex problems and identify root causes
• Provide technical leadership, guide the team, monitor quality, and make technical decisions
• Act as a strong contact person for integrators, developers, architects, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent
• Experience: Senior level experience
• Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written), good knowledge of Dutch
• Technical Skills:
  • Programming Languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform for on-premises infrastructure deployments
  • Automation & Configuration Management: Ansible
  • DevOps & Automation: Automated infrastructure deployment and configuration management
  • Infrastructure: On-premises environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with Citrix SDS (Secure Desktop Services) and Citrix DaaS / Virtual Apps & Desktops
• Experience with VDI capacity and performance engineering (VMware, Citrix)
• Experience with storage: CIFS/SMB/NFS (NetApp filer)
• Experience with AD integration and DNS
• Experience with LDAP/Kerberos
• Experience with PKI and certificates
• Experience with PAM authentication
