Senior DevOps Engineer with Java background

About the Position

Eurocontrol is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with Java background for a full-remote position based in Brussels, Belgium. Join us in building a brand new digital platform within the aviation sector.

Responsibilities

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, setting up, configuring, and automating the build-out of a digital platform based on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Configuring multiple infrastructures, networking, and security solutions into a single platform.
• Ensuring the platform is production-worthy, highly available, and enterprise-graded.
• Actively working in the domain of container orchestration, security management, and release automation.

Requirements

• Skills Required:
  • Define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
  • Release automation using Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift).
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
  • Good background in Java development and Spring.
• Additional Competences:
  • Development or scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, IBM API Connect, Solace Messaging.
• Experience in setting up IAM and CIAM solutions.
• Experience with cloud providers like Azure and AWS.

Salary and Conditions

• Location: Brussels, Belgium
• Salary up to: 500€/day
• Worksite type: Remote only
• Contract type: Freelancer or Employee
• Client: Eurocontrol

• Possibility of sporadic traveling to Brussels or Amsterdam for business meetings.
• Salary/daily rates are average as a freelancer, with potential for increase based on experience and skills.
• Option for a Belgium permanent employment contract.
