About the Position
We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with Python expertise to manage Kubernetes-based environments and optimize CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-native enterprise data platform.
Location: New York City, US
Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 USD Gross per year based on your interview results.
Responsibilities
- Managing Kubernetes-based environments
- Developing automation and platform tooling in Python
- Implementing and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting Azure cloud infrastructure
- Infrastructure automation

- Ensuring secure and reliable delivery of platform services in a highly regulated enterprise environment
Requirements
- Python: Strong proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, infrastructure tooling, and building CI/CD utilities.
- Kubernetes: Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes including cluster management, Helm charts, service mesh (Istio), pod orchestration, troubleshooting, and production-grade deployments.
- CI/CD: Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with a focus on reliability and speed.
- GitLab CI/CD: Deep expertise in GitLab pipelines, including multi-stage pipelines, templates, shared runners, artifacts, and pipeline-as-code best practices.
- Azure Cloud: Solid knowledge of Azure services (AKS, Azure DevOps, Virtual Networks, IAM/RBAC, Storage, Key Vault, Monitor) with experience in cloud architecture and cost optimization.

- Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK)
- Shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress controllers)
