About the Position
Lalamove is revolutionizing the logistics industry by directly connecting customers and drivers through our technology. We offer a fast and convenient way to book delivery and moving services, whether at home, work, or on the go. As a leading global on-demand delivery platform, we are looking for a Senior Driver Operations Manager to join our Philippines operations.
As a Senior Driver Operations Manager, you will be responsible for growing and retaining our driver supply. Your role will involve managing driver acquisition and onboarding, community and retention management, and establishing driver operations standards. Quick problem-solving skills and a team-first mentality are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Driver Acquisition and Onboarding: Maintain an over-supplying effort by keeping a healthy and efficient process for driver acquisition and onboarding.
- Community & Retention Management: Drive and lead communications, training, online community, engagement activities, and multiple business initiatives to build trust and loyalty with our driver partners across the Philippines.
- Driver Operations Standards: Identify, build, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and Policies to support the activity and solve or prevent issues.
- Performance: Constantly track the efficiency of your team and the service quality provided to the network, and deploy corrective/improvement actions.
- Team Management: Hire, onboard, and train a team of driver operations managers and associates to execute the local operations; constantly track the efficiency of your team and the service quality provided to the network, and deploy corrective/improvement actions.
- Process Improvement and Standards: Identify, build, and enforce standard operating procedures to manage the supply teams effectively.
Requirements
- Leadership Skills: Ability to deal with a large and diverse Lalamove community.
- Prioritization and Structured Mindset: Strong sense of prioritization and a structured mindset to cover multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Integrity: Strong integrity to make the best decisions for the company in every situation and stand firm without compromising.
- Data-Driven: Ability to identify leverages and make the best decisions for the business in every situation.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and succinctly and use a structured approach with proven ability to create a framework which facilitates effective communication.
Nice to Have
- Experience: Degree holder with at least 8 years of operational/leadership experience, preferably in a logistics/e-commerce fulfillment environment.
- Team Management: Experience with at least 3 direct reports, plus experience leading multiple functions/verticals.
- Project Management: Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects, plus experience working closely with regional or headquarter teams.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of mobile and web technologies.
- Business Acumen: Positive and open-minded, result-oriented with strong business acumen.
- Language: Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Location: Must be willing to work in the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).
