Senior Engineering Team Lead - Analytics Platform

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Team Lead to join our Analytics Platform team at Wise. This role is pivotal in leading teams to build and maintain a data-driven solution that powers our product and enables timely, intelligent decisions for our teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the teams building and maintaining a platform that enables leveraging petabyte-scale data.
• Guide the sustainable growth of critical functions and shape multiple teams across the analytics platform.
• Ensure high-availability, assess and reduce engineering load, and devise effective ways to manage the cloud-based platform.
• Focus on availability, security, and ease of use while continuously iterating on the services we run.

Requirements

• Solid engineering background with years of experience putting solutions into production and maintaining them.
• Ability to take initiative while working collaboratively.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build consensus.
• Security and privacy advocate with a high standard of coding.
• Experience deploying microservices to cloud-based systems.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed and concurrent systems.
• Experience working with product teams to build their ideas in production.
• Stay on top of the latest developments and trends in the industry.

Nice to Have

• Passionate about technology and its relationship with product and user experience.
• Experience with platform infrastructure such as AWS or other cloud ecosystems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and running containerized workloads.
• Knowledge of, or experience with data warehousing, data processing infrastructure, and BI tooling.
• Knowledge of, or interest in payment platforms and foreign exchange.

We Offer

• Starting salary: £135,000 - £175,000 + RSUs
