Senior Entra ID & Active Directory Migration Specialist

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Entra ID & Active Directory Migration Specialist to join our team focused on consolidating a fragmented Active Directory (AD) estate into a single cloud-only Microsoft Entra ID environment. In this role, you will lead the architecture and personally execute domain migrations as part of a phased delivery approach. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work flexibly while contributing to a critical project in the Amsterdam Operations team. Responsibilities

• Leading the discovery and classification of all domains in scope for migration
• Designing the target Entra ID architecture and migration sequence
• Executing domain migrations and decommissioning domain controllers
• Remediating Azure AD Connect Cloud Sync configurations
• Hardening permanently isolated on-prem AD domains
• Implementing service account controls for isolated systems
• Migrating Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to Intune and implementing the Conditional Access baseline
• Delivering knowledge transfer and creating BAU runbooks for internal IT

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows administration and Active Directory management
• Demonstrable hands-on experience in delivering domain migrations, not just advisory roles
• Deep expertise in Active Directory, multi-forest environments, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Strong knowledge of Azure AD Connect, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and CIS Benchmarks
• Experience in AD security hardening and credential management
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation, such as runbooks and architecture documents
• Ability to present technical concepts to steering groups and non-technical stakeholders
• Advanced level of English

Nice to Have

• SC-300 / AZ-305 or equivalent certification
• Experience with air-gapped or OT/ICS environments
