About the Position
This specialized financial reporting position offers an excellent opportunity to manage statutory compliance and technical ledger closure workflows within a prominent insurance organization.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.
- Preparing and ensuring timely submission of MAS regulatory returns.
- Participating actively in the ongoing maintenance, reporting, and disclosure workflows under the IFRS 17 standard, collaborating closely with the actuarial and IT teams.
- Handle incoming financial inquiries and facilitate effective communications with auditors and external regulatory bodies.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting workflows, enhance data automation, and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of financial reporting experience within the insurance industry.
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance, or a related discipline, with a preferred professional certification such as CA or CPA status.
- Hands-on exposure to MAS regulatory requirements and a solid, practical understanding of IFRS 17 are essential for this role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
