Senior Firmware Engineer
About the Position
Amusnet, a leading provider of best-performing gaming products and innovative solutions, is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will develop, customize, and maintain firmware for display controller platforms, contributing to our next generation of products.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain firmware for display controller (AD Board) platforms
- Design and implement new firmware features for display controller solutions
- Configure LCD panel parameters, display timings, and firmware settings for various display panels
- Perform firmware bring-up and validation for new hardware revisions and prototypes
- Debug and resolve firmware, hardware, and system integration issues
- Develop and optimize firmware-based display calibration, including LUT configuration, gamma tuning, and production calibration workflows
- Work with internal and external engineers to develop and validate display controller solutions
- Support mass production by implementing firmware flashing procedures, version control, and calibration automation workflows
- Document firmware architecture, configuration processes, and best practices for internal knowledge development
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Firmware Engineer
- Strong knowledge of C for embedded systems (Keil environment preferred)
- Understanding of LCD panel specifications, timing diagrams, and power sequencing
- Experience working with display scaler platforms (MediaTek, MStar/TSUM, Realtek, or similar)
- Knowledge of display interfaces (LVDS, eDP, HDMI, DisplayPort)
- Familiarity with USB-HID and I2C communication protocols
- Understanding of firmware version control and production flashing processes
- Ability to manage firmware projects through a full development lifecycle without supervision
- Very good command of English, both written and verbal
Nice to Have
- Experience in monitor or display controller firmware development
- Understanding of scaler architecture and display pipeline processing
- Experience configuring and tuning capacitive touch controllers
- Experience with capacitive touch signal tuning and EMI mitigation techniques
- Experience working with factory automation or calibration tools
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI considerations related to embedded systems in high-noise environments
