Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to integrate into our clients' operations, understand their processes, and build AI solutions that solve specific problems.

At Accenture, we seek to understand how our clients' people work and construct intelligence artificial solutions that resolve concrete problems.

You will be involved from the discovery phase: talking with users, observing processes, reviewing data and restrictions, and identifying where time, cost, or quality is lost. You will participate in deciding what to build, why, and how to measure its success. Then, you will design, program, integrate, and deploy the solution, supporting its use and evolution in production.

This is a senior individual contributor position, with technical leadership and direct participation in the code. You will have autonomy to prioritize and adjust the solution with evidence, within the objectives and limits agreed upon with the client. Success is measured by sustained adoption, operational impact, and the reliability of what you build. The solution must have clear responsibilities and the ability to continue when you change projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand end-to-end business processes with users and client teams, identifying objectives, frictions, restrictions, and risks.
• Prioritize use cases, define a first useful version, and agree on success criteria and impact metrics.
• Design and build GenAI solutions with LLMs and agents when they add value. Choose deterministic code or traditional workflows when they are the best answer.
• Integrate solutions with APIs, databases, documents, and enterprise systems.
• Deploy and operate in the cloud with quality evaluation, testing, observability, failure management, recovery mechanisms, and cost and latency tracking.
• Implement identity and permission controls, data and secret protection, auditing, action limits, and human supervision when appropriate.
• Validate with users, measure adoption and results, and reformulate the solution when evidence contradicts the initial hypothesis.
• Document decisions, prepare knowledge transfer, and convert learnings into reusable components and practices, respecting the confidentiality and agreements of each project.

Requirements

• Significant experience building and maintaining systems in production, with direct responsibility for technical decisions and results.
• Recent and substantial hands-on practice: writing, reviewing, and deploying code, operating systems, and solving problems in production. Proficiency in Python or an equivalent language and the ability to move from architecture to implementation.
• Solid foundations in software engineering: APIs and integrations, data modeling, authentication and authorization, testing, CI/CD, and failure management.
• Experience with LLM-based systems in production: evaluation, traceability, response quality, cost, latency, and detection of plausible but incorrect responses. Criteria for deciding when to use an agent and when to choose another approach.
• Depth in at least one cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and the ability to transfer architecture, security, and operation patterns to other environments.
• Ability to work directly with users and business stakeholders, questioning assumptions with evidence, explaining decisions, and building agreements.
• Autonomy to advance with incomplete information, validate hypotheses, change direction, and recognize when a decision requires escalating risks or commitments.
• Advanced English, oral and written, to participate clearly in business and technical conversations, explain decisions, and prepare documentation.

Nice to Have

• Work integrated into client teams and experience in regulated industries.
• LLMOps, automated evaluation, tracing, and infrastructure as code.
• RAG, integration of tools with LLMs, context management, and vector bases.
• Technical leadership without hierarchical authority.
