About the Position

Senior Front End Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable front-end applications using modern web technologies.
• Integrate user interfaces with backend platforms, ideally for email-specific purposes.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems using shared components.
• Connect to, query, and consume data from various internal/external APIs.
• Format data into conditional, logic-driven dynamic emails.
• Hand-code highly responsive, accessible HTML/CSS optimized for email clients.
• Preferred: Experience with Apache Velocity (VTL).

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid experience as a front-end engineer, not an email developer first.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of macros (e.g., #set, #if, #foreach, #define).
• Strong knowledge of Git (GitLab/GitHub), the command line, and your IDE of choice.
• Experience building for scale and personalization.
• Understanding of hand-coding highly responsive, accessible HTML/CSS optimized to bypass the rendering limitations of email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail).

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of Terraform.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Figma.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tooling (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude, or AI-driven code fixes) to accelerate development and operational workflows.
