About the Position
ING Hubs Romania is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for the Inside Business Portal (IB Portal) part of Wholesale Banking (WB) tech. This role is used by corporate clients globally and focuses on enhancing functionalities such as Service Requests, Client Insights, and Connect Administration. We aim to empower our colleagues to help clients better and faster while increasing application resilience in security, quality gates, monitoring, alerting, and more.
Responsibilities
- Develop front end applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of front end components to ensure seamless functionality and user satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in front end development, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the user experience.
- Work closely with the development team to define and refine technical requirements and project timelines.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Accustomed with an agile way of working, participate in SCRUM ceremonies.
- Work with Azure pipelines for CI/CD.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of industry experience in Frontend development, with the ability to independently deliver features and collaborate across teams.
- Tech stack / knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience writing unit tests, familiar with tools like Mocha, Karma, Chai, and Sinon.
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte) and a solid understanding of its core principles.
- Experience with front end build tools (e.g., Webpack and Rollup).
- Languages:
- English (advanced)
Nice to Have
- Working experience with TypeScript.
- Familiar with Web Components, Custom Elements, and Shadow DOM.
- Write functional tests using Playwright and Cucumber.js.
- Basic understanding of Accessibility.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT-related field.
