About the Position

Senior Frontend Engineer, Launchpad

We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer for our Launchpad team in Warsaw, Poland, to build scalable and intelligent frontend systems.

Responsibilities

• Evolve Global Experience & Localization Infrastructure: Expand and maintain high-throughput i18n/l10n workflows, Translation Management System (TMS) integrations, ICU/CLDR formatters, and dynamic locale-switching.
• Architect & Scale Core Frontend Platform Systems: Own, evolve, and modernize Box’s core UI design system, establishing rock-solid standards for styling isolation and design token theming.
• Champion AI-Driven Developer Productivity & Product Capabilities: Pioneer the integration of AI tools, coding agents, LLM-assisted migration workflows (e.g., automated component migrations, codemods, AI skill integrations), and intelligent assistants that supercharge developer velocity and operational efficiency across the engineering organization.
• Drive Monorepo & Tooling Excellence: Steer the evolution of our frontend, build pipelines (Nx, Yarn 4, Webpack/Vite, CI/CD automated gates), and package management to ensure fast, predictable, and resilient developer workflows.
• Cross-Domain Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, UX Design Systems, Architecture SIGs, and cross-functional product teams across Box to deliver scalable multi-quarter initiatives.
• Mentor & Elevate: Guide and mentor peers, participate in rigorous architectural design reviews (RFCs/TDDs), and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous innovation.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of designing, building, and operating production-grade web applications, component libraries, or frontend platform infrastructure.

Nice to Have

• i18n / l10n Expertise: Experience with enterprise localization frameworks (FormatJS, react-intl, i18next), CLDR/ICU standards, bidirectional/RTL layouts, or TMS synchronizations (e.g., Smartling, Transifex, Phrase).
• Micro-Frontend Architecture: Hands-on experience with Module Federation, decoupled web runtimes, or cross-application singleton providers.
• Data & Analytics Infrastructure: Familiarity with client-side event tracking, product analytics integrations (e.g., Pendo, Segment), or Telemetry/Real User Monitoring (RUM).
