About the Position

Automat-it is an all-in AWS Premier Partner and Managed Services Provider specializing in the startup ecosystem. With over 800 customers and 500+ AWS certifications, Automat-it brings hands-on expertise in AI, DevOps, and FinOps to empower fast-paced startups to grow, deliver & win. Our customers save significant time-to-market and optimize their cloud performance and costs.

We work across EMEA and the US, fueling innovation and solving complex challenges daily. Join us to grow your skills, shape bold ideas, and help build the future of tech.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Team, where you will own high-scale features end-to-end across our FinOps platform and AWS billing engine - contributing directly to our mission of empowering fast-paced startups.

This is an agentic engineering role. It is not a traditional coding role. You will generate the vast majority of your production code with AI, and your value comes from the deep technical judgment you apply on top of it: guiding the model, critiquing its output, and shipping solutions that are high-quality, maintainable, and future-proof. We’re looking for someone excited that the craft of software is changing, and who wants to operate at (and help define) the frontier of it.

You will work with: Node.js/TypeScript (NestJS, Fastify, Prisma ORM) + React (TanStack, TipTap, Material UI, Untitled UI) + PostgreSQL.

📍 Work location: remote from Ukraine

If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV in English.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end - from vague stakeholder ask to production deployment, including discovery, design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
  • Refine requirements proactively using the Value, Usability, Feasibility, Viability (VUFV) framework. Push back on weak requirements, propose better solutions than the one originally requested, and keep a tight feedback loop with stakeholders.
  • Generate your code with AI (we provide top-tier AI tooling - currently Claude Opus 4.7 in Cursor). Your job is to direct the model, review its output with a senior engineer’s eye, and take full ownership of what ships - including architecture, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
  • Build and evolve our AI workflow - don’t just use it. Stay on the frontier of new models, tools, agents, and techniques; codify what works into our setup (rules, prompts, tooling, MCPs); and share it so the whole team levels up with you.
  • Solve deep technical problems across FinOps processes and AWS billing calculations.
  • Ship scalable, maintainable, well-tested, well-documented code - and create and maintain the system design and implementation docs that go with it.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer shipping production systems
  • Deep expertise in the TypeScript full-stack ecosystem - specifically NestJS and React - and experience with microservices architectures
  • Strong experience with Prisma ORM + PostgreSQL
  • Strong debugging skills and a serious approach to unit testing
  • Proven ability to translate complex, ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical specs and actionable work - and to challenge requirements when there’s a better solution
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias toward action and unblocking
  • Agentic engineer. AI is your primary authoring tool: you default to agents for code generation, work fluently with autonomous workflows, and have the senior-level depth to guide the model rather than be guided by it - you understand every line that ships and can explain why it’s right (or wrong). This is explicitly not a “prompt engineer” role.
  • Proven experience designing and operating agentic systems end-to-end: building multi-agent SDLC workflows, surrounding models with the right tools, sandboxes, loops, and guardrails, and owning autonomous pipelines in production.
  • AI workflow contributor: You don’t just consume the AI setup we have - you improve it. You stay on the frontier (new models, agents, MCPs, techniques), bring the best of them in, and actively share what you learn so teammates ship faster too. Enabling others is part of the job, not a side activity.
  • Experience with AI harness engineering: building and evolving the tooling, sandboxes, memory, feedback loops, and guardrails around models to turn them into reliable agents in production.
  • Fluent written and verbal English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with vector databases
  • Experience with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx)
  • Familiarity with AWS services, especially AWS Cost Explorer and AWS Cognito
  • Experience with financial dashboards or data-heavy UI
  • Strapi Framework experience
  • Experience with Material UI at scale
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Experience with Puppeteer / Playwright
  • Experience with Fastify

We Offer

  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment
  • Be part of a global team that values diversity and inclusion
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Professional growth and development opportunities
