HyPlus Technology GmbH is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer with a strong focus on Java/Spring Boot for our projects in public, governmental, and regulated environments. Join our team in Braunschweig, DE, and contribute to the digital transformation of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Development of modern, backend-focused fullstack applications with Java and Spring Boot
• Conception and implementation of robust microservices and distributed applications
• Development and maintenance of REST/OpenAPI interfaces
• Integration of relational databases and external systems
• Development of modern web interfaces with Angular, React, Vue, or similar technologies
• Implementation of responsive, user-oriented, and accessible web applications
• Implementation of UX/UI specifications in maintainable and high-quality code
• Development of automated unit, integration, interface, and E2E tests
• Participation in CI/CD processes, GitLab workflows, and deployment automation
• Work with Maven, Docker, and ideally Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring clean code, architectural guidelines, and best practices
• Active participation in architectural, technological, and implementation decisions
• Collaboration with UX/UI, product owners, DevOps, testing, architecture, and other development teams
• Technical documentation of interfaces, architectural decisions, and implementations
• Structured communication of technical matters to clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• ≥ 5 years of demonstrable professional and project experience as a Fullstack Developer with a strong Java/Spring Boot focus
• Alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant project experience in Java/Spring Boot fullstack or backend-focused web application projects
• Demonstrable experience from concrete projects and own implementation – mere skill lists are not sufficient
• Recent relevant projects predominantly in Java Backend, Java Fullstack, or modern web application development
• At least 2-3 years of experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Several years of practical experience with REST and OpenAPI
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and/or E2E tests
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, and Maven
• Experience with Docker and ideally Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Very good knowledge of Java, ideally Java 17 or Java 21
• Very good knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Experience with Spring Data JPA and Spring Security
• Knowledge of modern frontend technologies such as Angular, React, Vue, or Vaadin
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Experience with HTML5, CSS, and SASS/SCSS
• Experience in accessible web development, ideally WCAG 2.x or BITV 2.0
• Knowledge in security and IAM-related topics such as JWT, OAuth2/OIDC
• Ability to actively participate in architectural and microservice concepts
• Communication skills in interdisciplinary teams and customer environments
• German proficiency at C1/C2 level, ideally C2
• English proficiency at B2 level
• Residence in Germany near Berlin, Brandenburg, or Braunschweig

• Experience with BundID, ELSTER, or FIT-Connect
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ in productive microservice landscapes
• Experience with observability and distributed tracing
