Senior Fullstack Developer (React / Next.js + Node.js)

About the Position

Our client is a full-service telecommunications provider that develops and delivers multimedia and internet services for residential customers. The company supplies services to independent cable network operators and utility companies via a fiber-optic backbone and also operates directly as an internet and TV service provider in selected regions.

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help build a modern BSS platform from the ground up. You will work across both frontend and backend, delivering customer-facing functionality together with scalable backend services, APIs, payment integrations, and event-driven microservices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a modern eCommerce storefront using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Medusa.js.
• Develop backend microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement REST APIs consumed by frontend applications and third-party services.
• Build product catalog, address qualification, checkout, authentication, and payment functionality.
• Develop event-driven services for notifications, billing, provisioning, and business workflows.
• Integrate with external systems and third-party APIs.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas and optimize database performance.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy services to Kubernetes.
• Implement distributed tracing and observability using OpenTelemetry.
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Produce technical documentation and support sprint handovers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial Fullstack development experience.
• Strong expertise with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience building production-grade REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS).
• Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or similar).
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or other observability solutions.
• Strong understanding of web performance, SSR, Core Web Vitals, and scalable application architecture.
• Experience working with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
• Ability to work remotely with occasional visits to the office in Sofia or Plovdiv.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Medusa.js or other headless commerce platforms.
• Payment gateway integrations (Adyen or similar).
• Experience with Lago billing APIs.
• Knowledge of .NET/C# for integration purposes.
• PDF generation tools (Gotenberg, Puppeteer).
• German or French language skills.
