About the Company

SCAYLE is one of the fastest-growing Enterprise-Commerce platforms in the world, enabling brands and retailers to realize their D2C ambitions. SCAYLE stands for innovation, international collaboration, and a strong focus on data. We believe that stepping out of our comfort zones and making bold decisions benefits us both professionally and personally. We view problems as opportunities to find better solutions. We work in an environment that promotes flexibility, creativity, and continuous development. Our shared motivation drives us to make a difference and actively shape the future of e-commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of features across the entire tech stack – from the initial idea to production deployment – ensuring quality, tests, performance, and reliability independently.
  • Develop core product features while actively shaping our cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), deployment tools, and CI/CD environments.
  • Scale our generation and media processing pipelines as the platform grows, balancing throughput, efficient storage usage, and cost per processed asset.
  • Develop robust, asynchronous workflows for long-running processes, ensuring maximum fault tolerance with queues, retries, idempotency, and rate limits.
  • Set up and continuously improve monitoring, logging, and tracing to quickly identify performance bottlenecks and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Integrate agentic engineering into the development process, utilizing AI-assisted tools and agents for exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, and continuous code improvement.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in developing web products holistically and successfully deploying them to production.
  • In-depth practical experience with Ruby on Rails and developing, scaling, and maintaining full-stack applications.
  • Solid experience with asynchronous systems such as queues, retries, rate limits, and webhooks, as well as processing large data volumes and media files, including efficient memory management.
  • Experience in taking responsibility for your own code in production, including cloud environments, deployments, monitoring, incident response, and pragmatic infrastructure as code.
  • Strong interest in AI-assisted and agentic software development, and a willingness to continuously explore and develop new tools and methodologies.
  • A good sense for security and best practices, especially regarding least-privilege concepts, handling secrets, and managing dependencies, always aiming to minimize operational effort for a small team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with orchestrating generative AI workflows, cloud cost engineering, or image/media-intensive applications.
  • Practical experience with AI coding tools, coding agents, or agentic engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with platform migrations or public work samples.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options
  • A diverse and inclusive workplace
