About the Position
Smart Project is a Ukrainian product company specializing in the full-cycle development of games. With 15 years of experience in creating and promoting products in the Casual genre, we are looking for a Senior Game Designer Generalist to join our team for a new project. In this role, you will have the opportunity to propose your ideas and implement them, influencing processes within the team to improve performance.
Responsibilities
- Designing and configuring levels (structure, difficulty, variability)
- Balancing gameplay: difficulty, pacing, economy
- Analyzing player behavior and metrics (drop-off, completion rate)
- Formulating hypotheses and improving levels based on data
- Working with level tools/editors
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with casual / puzzle / hypercasual games
- Practical experience in balancing levels
- Understanding of: difficulty curves, player psychology, retention drivers
- Ability to work with data and draw conclusions
- Understanding of monetization (ads / IAP)
- Experience with live ops and A/B testing
Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity (or another level editor)
