Senior Golang Engineer - DevOps Enablement (all genders)
SCAYLE
Hybrid | Hamburg, Germany | Experienced
About SCAYLE
SCAYLE stands for innovation, international collaboration, and a strong focus on data. We believe that stepping outside of our comfort zone and making bold decisions is key to growing both professionally and personally. Instead of seeing problems as obstacles, we approach them as opportunities to find better solutions. We work in an environment that encourages flexibility, creativity, and continuous development. What drives us is the shared motivation to make an impact and actively shape the future of eCommerce.
What To Expect
- Write the Go. Design, build, and ship the internal services and tooling the development organization runs on.
- Own the lifecycle. Deploy what you write, maintain its Helm charts, and work directly with our Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage the infrastructure around your services with Terraform.
- Run what you build. You are on call for the services you own.
- Evolve what exists. Our existing internal services, integrations, and the wider tooling estate all need attention.
- Work with your users. The development teams are your customers; contribute to other parts of the system where it helps.
Requirements
- Go-centric role that requires strong, current Go expertise. Most of your work will be in Go.
- Building complex backend services and APIs.
- Kubernetes and Helm: you deploy your own services and are comfortable working with clusters.
- Terraform: you manage the infrastructure around your own services.
- Relational databases (e.g. Postgres) and key-value stores (e.g. Redis).
- AI fluency level 3 - advanced proficiency. You have moved past using AI for single tasks: you apply it to complex problem solving, know how to leverage retrieval-augmented generation, and can judge the return on investment of a model or approach for a given job.
Nice to Have
- AWS, GitLab CI
- Experience building internal developer tooling
Salary range
70k - 85k €
We Offer
- Competitive salary
- Hybrid work environment
- Professional growth opportunities
About the Company
