Senior Hogan ODS Developer

About the Position

DXC Luxoft is seeking a Senior Hogan ODS Developer with extensive experience in Hogan ODS programming and testing to join our team in the United States. This role is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex Hogan ODS programs.
• Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
• Designs systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs.
• Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded.
• Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation.
• Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements.
• Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
• Supports project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems.
• Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility.
• Provides technical advice on complex programming.
• Quickly transition into and adapt to a client environment.
• Estimate and scoping of work for a project.

Requirements

• Must have

  • Substantial knowledge of all aspects of Hogan® ODS (Online Delivery System).
  • Extensive knowledge of Hogan's process dictionary components and PCD's.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred.
  • Ten or more years of Hogan ODS programming or testing experience.
  • Banking industry knowledge (plus).
  • Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software.
  • Minimum 6 years experience with IBM mainframe and environment, COBOL, IBM's Job Control Language, programming, DB2, and Assembler (a plus).
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation, and testing of programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with which to interact with customers and teammates.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
