Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Create relationships with clients in the Texas area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client, and design center teams.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design, and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control, and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects.
  • Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing, and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.
  • Support multiple Water and Wastewater and other Market Sector projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 11 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting.
    • 7 years’ experience in the water/wastewater industry.
    • Experience in project management and business development.
    • Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.
    • Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives, and technical specifications.
    • Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
    • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and team management abilities.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
    • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
    • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or must be obtained within one year.
