Job description

About the Position

Senior IT Sales Manager New Business (m/w/d)

Location: Rottweil, Baden-Württemberg, DE

Employment Type: FULL_TIME

Salary: 75.000 - 100.000 € per year

About the Role

At QUIBIQ Rottweil, you will play a pivotal role in our continued growth. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new business customers, with 80% of your sales efforts dedicated to new business and 20% to strategically expanding selected existing accounts.

As a Senior Sales Manager without direct personnel responsibility, you will independently build a qualified pipeline and manage the entire sales process. You will be responsible for customer relationships and opportunities, from initial contact through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closing, to structured handover to our project teams.

You will work closely with our Microsoft partner management and experienced professionals from architecture, consulting, and delivery. You will translate technical possibilities into understandable business benefits, ensuring that suitable opportunities turn into profitable contracts and long-term customer relationships.

You will report directly to the management team. Your success will be measured by the new customers you acquire, a reliable pipeline, realistic forecasts, and the measurable expansion of your assigned existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify suitable target companies, actively approach relevant decision-makers, and build reliable relationships within the buying center.
  • Independently generate new sales opportunities through direct outreach, networking, events, referrals, and marketing and partner management initiatives.
  • Qualify opportunities based on customer needs, economic benefits, involved parties, decision-making process, budget, timeline, and our delivery capabilities.
  • Conduct discovery meetings and, together with our experts, develop a compelling solution and a reliable business case.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through pre-sales, proposal, and contract negotiation to closing.
  • Translate integration, cloud, automation, and monitoring topics into clear business value.
  • Create economically viable proposals and negotiate prices, scope, and contract terms within agreed guidelines.
  • Develop concrete account plans for selected existing customers and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Fully and transparently document opportunities, next steps, risks, and forecasts in the CRM.
  • Structurally hand over won projects to technical and project management, ensuring that commitments, assumptions, and customer context are maintained.
  • Contribute your market observations and customer feedback to the continuous improvement of our offerings and sales strategy.

The 80/20 distribution describes the sales focus and performance evaluation. CRM, forecasting, pre-sales coordination, and handover are integral to the role.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of independently acquiring new customers and demonstrating your personal contribution to these successes.
  • Several years of experience in consultative B2B sales of complex IT services, professional services, system integration, or similar solutions.
  • Mastery of the entire sales process – from prospecting and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to independently generate a pipeline and not rely solely on pre-qualified inbound leads.
  • Understanding of how to develop business value and business cases, while keeping an eye on margin, scope, and delivery capabilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and responsibility for pipeline quality and forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of IT services, integration, and cloud environments. Experience with Microsoft Azure, BizTalk, APIs, iPaaS, or SAP integration is a plus.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable manner and recognize when technical experts need to be involved.
  • Fluent communication skills in German and confident in business English.
  • Willingness to attend customer and travel appointments within the agreed sales territory.

You do not need to answer every technical detail yourself. However, you should understand what you are selling, ask the right questions, and be able to involve our experts in the sales process as needed.

QUIBIQ Requirements

  • Connection: Build reliable relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Competence: Dive into business and technical contexts and argue with substance.
  • Creativity: Do not wait for ready-made leads, but actively develop new approaches and sales channels.
  • Effectiveness: Prioritize opportunities that fit QUIBIQ technically and economically.
  • Reliability: Keep your promises and manage next steps, risks, and forecasts transparently and realistically.

You work independently and with a focus on closing deals. At the same time, you understand that collaboration with technical and delivery teams is essential for sustainable sales success.
