Senior IT Security & IAM Consultant

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior IT Security & IAM Consultant to advise clients on IT security, compliance, and Identity & Access Management (IAM). Lead security risk analyses and threat assessments at the application and project level, and develop security concepts including risk assessments, security controls, and compliance measures. Drive IAM initiatives around roles and rights discovery, authorization concepts, and user/application onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on IT security, compliance, and IAM topics
• Lead and support security risk analyses and threat assessments
• Develop IT security concepts: risk assessments, security controls, and compliance measures
• Drive IAM initiatives: roles/rights discovery, authorization concepts, onboarding
• Work with application owners and business stakeholders to understand and improve role structures
• Apply central IAM templates and guide onboarding across applications
• Consult technical and business teams on fulfilling authorization requirements
• Gather, structure, and maintain authorization concepts and account requirements in documentation tools
• Contribute to cybersecurity and IAM transformation projects from planning through implementation

Requirements

• Confident communication in English and Polish (German is a strong plus)
• Degree in IT security, computer science, business administration, or comparable experience
• Several years of experience in IT security, IAM, or security consulting
• Functional understanding of IAM: roles and rights models, authorization concepts, and design rationale
• Conceptual thinking (not a tool specialist)
• Experience engaging with application owners and business stakeholders to align access models and onboarding paths
• Familiarity with IAM platforms (e.g., One Identity) is a plus
• Experience in client-facing consulting or project environments
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Hybrid working model with office presence in Katowice at least once per week (arrangements can be discussed)
