Senior Java developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a Remote Full-time position with a fast-growing tech company that builds innovative web solutions. The team values collaboration, learning, and continuous innovation.

Our Customer

Our client is a dynamic tech company that is always on the lookout for talented individuals to join their team. They are seeking a Backend Developer who can design and deliver impactful features, contribute to new services, and help advance their platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the founding team and product managers.
• Ensure service availability and take part in on-call rotations.
• Drive innovation, continuously learn, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in server-side development.
• At least 2+ years of experience with Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience building and working with RESTful web services and APIs.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
• Experience with caching solutions such as Memcached, Redis, or similar technologies.
• Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or equivalent.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Ability to write clean, reusable code, prioritizing readability over complexity.
• Self-driven and results-oriented, able to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
• Interest in working with a complex product and willingness to deeply understand the domain, business logic, and technical details.
• Long-term cooperation mindset, stability, and readiness to grow with the product.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Experience scaling applications and building highly available systems.
• Experience with non-blocking and reactive web frameworks such as RxJava or Spring WebFlux.
• Experience with distributed streaming and processing platforms such as Kafka or Spark.
• Experience with parser generators such as ANTLR, JavaCC, or similar tools.

Working Conditions

• 5-day working week, 8-hour working day.
• Remote work.
