Senior Java Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with over 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE, microservices, and Spring Framework to join our team in Tianjin, China. You will be responsible for building in-house platform between trade process systems, working with highly skilled engineers on WebServices (APIs), Trade processing system, FM FX, Derivatives etc. domain. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the evolving technical direction of the team as we adapt to this rapidly changing space.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside business users and the development team to understand business processes.
• Communicate and coordinate with different technology silos.
• Bring new ideas and present them in a clear, thoughtful manner.
• Evangelize the adoption of Agile development practices.
• Catalyst for adoption of modern software development practices.
• Implement DevOps practices.
• Develop microservices.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Build strong relationships with the business through delivery, communication, and domain knowledge transfer.
• Develop solutions that embrace our firm standards without compromising on quality.
• Perform non-functional testing, regression testing, independent testing, SIT, and UAT.
• Phase, build, and deliver designed solutions to meet expectations.
• Provide production support on existing systems and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• More than 7 years of experience with Java/J2EE development.
• Practical experience on Microservice implementation.
• Spring Framework stack: Spring Web MVC, Spring data jdbc, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Excellent in communicating and presenting technology topics.
• Middleware: Kafka.
• Micro-Service architecture: Spring boot/cloud.
• Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks.
• DevOps & Automation:
  • Software version management: GIT.
  • Auto testing, Auto Building, Auto Deployment.
  • Build Systems: Maven, Gradle.
  • Continuous Integration: Jenkins, Sonar.
  • Continuous deployment.
  • Cloud techniques: AWS is a plus.
• Event driven and Domain Driver Design.
• Linux: Shell and Python scripting.
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban.
• Solid database experience. Familiarity with database platforms, both SQL (like PG) and NoSQL (like Redis) and common database design patterns.
• Performance optimization skills.
• Practical experience on distributed systems.

• Understanding of financial market and FX, Money Market, FX Options, Rates Derivatives, Commodities domain.
